US Airways, GSE Facility, Philadelphia International Airport
Working together, with The Sheward Partnership and Urban Engineers, W.S. Cumby is currently constructing a new 56,000 SF Ground Support Equipment (GSE) facility for US Airways at the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). The construction scope of work includes a displacement pile foundation system, overhead bridge cranes and nine vehicle lifts. The building will house a warehouse, vehicle maintenance bays and office and locker rooms for employees. This project will incorporate Green design and construction strategies, is registered LEED-NC and has a goal of being awarded a LEED Silver Certification.The GSE facility will be the first LEED Certified project for US Airways as well as the first LEED project at PHL.
W.S. Cumby is currently constructing an 8,400 SF addition and renovation to Princeton's original eating club, circa 1879, located at 43 Prospect Avenue. Construction to this historic building is scheduled for completion in March 2009.
W.S. Cumby is currently constructing Phase Five of the revitalization of Lafayette Gardens, Jersey City's oldest and largest public housing development. The scope includes 67 new, affordable housing units and is scheduled for completion in November 2008.
Mollie Dodd Anderson Library, George School, Newtown, Pennsylvania

The George School in Newtown, PA awarded a CM contract for the construction of their new Mollie Dodd Anderson Library. The George School is pursuing a LEED Gold certification for the 25,000 SF facility which will include a library space, conference room, archives room, classrooms and office space. Some of the green strategies will include ground source heat pumps (geothermal HVAC), a vegetative roof and rainwater harvesting for greywater reuse. Construction is scheduled to begin in the Spring of 2008 with a Summer of 2009 completion.
Carl A. Fields Center, Princeton University, New Jersey
W.S. Cumby is providing preconstruction phase services for the interior and exterior historic restoration of the original Elm Club, built in 1895, into a community and education center.
The project scope includes a new 7,700 SF addition to provide additional program space as well as an event space for the University and a 13,700 SF renovation to the historic structure. This project was designed to LEED Silver standards and will incorporate many sustainable design features.
Old York Road Temple - Beth Am, Abington, Pennsylvania
W.S. Cumby is providing preconstruction and construction phase services for an addition and renovation to this 2-story Montgomery County synagogue. The new space will include a new chapel, classrooms, youth lounge and offices. The interior will also be modified to improve accessibility and will include a new elevator.
Overbrook School for the Blind, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

W.S. Cumby is providing construction management services for a new, 25,000 SF aquatic center, which will include a competition pool as well as a recreational and therapy pool. The new facility will serve as a connector to two existing buildings on the OSB campus to provide flow between buildings and provide indoor access to the pools. This project will incorporate sustainable design and construction strategies and has a goal of being awarded a LEED-NC Platinum Certification.
W.S. Cumby is providing construction management services for a new 6,500 SF gallery, pool,
pool-house and connecting structure for a private residence. The custom glass, steel and concrete gallery structure has been designed as a sculptural element exclusively using parametric modeling. Advanced automation technology will be utilized to manage every aspect of the gallery’s indoor environment, including an electronic theater control interface.
