The Clarke School for the Deaf This renovation and addition to a former medical office building was designed by utilizing the LEED 1.0 rating system as a benchmarking tool. The new 16,000 SF school contains classrooms, observation rooms and office space, which include green elements such as natural daylighting and ventilation, a super-insulated building envelope, the use of recycled, rapidly renewable and low VOC emitting materials and a construction waste recycling and material salvage program.
