W.S. Cumby constructed a new 56,000 SF Ground Support Equipment (GSE) facility for US Airways. The GSE facility will be the first LEED Certified project for US Airways and the first LEED project at PHL. Goal of LEED-NC Silver Certification. The construction scope of work included a displacement pile foundation system, overhead bridge cranes and nine vehicle lifts. The building houses a warehouse, vehicle maintenance bays and office and locker rooms for employees. Green design and construction strategies include:
